Preschool children visit Oxford pizza shop
OXFORD – Children attending the Child Health Center’s developmental therapy preschool had an opportunity to visit Pizza Hut and learn what happens in the kitchen.
The children met Susan Berry, manager of the Oxford Pizza Hut, and she brought the group into the kitchen where each child had the opportunity to make their own personal size pizza.
The venture was a learning experience for the children as Berry helped them make decisions about the vegetables and cheeses they could use and helped them count out the number of pepperoni pieces they placed on their treats.
While waiting for the pizzas to cook the children sat with the teachers at tables and talked about their experience and other topics. After lunch, the group thanked Berry and the others for their time and returned to school.
