AUBURN – Why let a little thing like inexperience get in the way of one of golf’s toughest achievements? Shane Leblanc capped off his first month of playing golf with a hole in one recently. Leblanc used a 5-iron on the 120-yard fourth hole at Pine Acres Golf Course in Auburn. Witnessing the feat was Ben Emery.

Staniszewski cards a ‘1’

LITCHFIELD – Doug Staniszewski of West Gardiner joined the hole-in-one club this past week with his first ace. he accomplished the feat on the 140-yard, par-3 17th hole at The Meadows Golf Club using a 7-iron. The feat was witnessed by Alan Staniszewski.
