The state medical examiner’s office said Monday that autopsy results are still pending in its investigation into the death last week of a Sabattus truck driver who crashed his flatbed rig into the median of the Maine Turnpike near the Sabattus-Lewiston line.
Randy Sebring, 36, was found dead in his crashed rig when rescue crews arrived on the scene Thursday shortly before 3 p.m. Because there was no obvious sign of trauma on his body, the medical examiner’s office in Augusta conducted an autopsy. A representative from the office said that medical examiners were still awaiting the results of further tests, but would not elaborate any further on the details or nature of those tests.
The accident occurred on the Interstate-95 southbound side, about 1 mile south of the Sabattus interchange.
and closed the road for about three hours.
