The Western Maine Fish and Game will be holding the first Memorial Trap Shooting Clinic for new shooters 10 years of age and older. This is a free event and is in honor of late member Arnold Dugmore, who contributed much to the growth of this club. Dug passed away in September of 2007 while engaging in his second love, riding his motorcycle.

This event will be held on August 3, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the club’s range, located on Rte. 117 in Harrison, next to the transfer station.

The club will provide 12GA and 20GA shotguns and the shells. Participants may also bring their own guns (in 12 or 20 GA only), and the club will provide shells for these as well.

You will learn the basics of trap shooting and will participate in live-fire trap shooting. A parent or guardian must accompany any one under the age of 18. Refreshments will be available for purchase during the clinic.

For more information call Jody @ 595-2211, or Arlin @ 583-4535.
