Dear Sun Spots: I have an 8mm projector if the lady in Lewiston still wants one. Call 539-4435. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: In Saturday’s paper there was a person looking for a super 8mm movie projector. I have one, and a screen, I’m willing to sell. My phone is (207) 824-2874. – No Name, Bethel.

Dear Sun Spots: You had an inquiry in the paper on July 4, 2008 from someone looking to buy beanie babies.

I have a very large assortment of beanie babies that I would like to sell. I have been collecting these for many years and now would like to sell them. I can be reached at (207) 783-7730 or my cell phone (207) 740-1061. Thank you. – Marie, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Some time ago you had an article in the paper where this person sold a Half Dime. It was a rare coin.

I think the year was United States of America 1844 year about that time. Can you remember where it was sold, where purchased? Did it have an address – a place where someone could be contacted as to where they can be bought or sold? Do you know how many years and the years they were struck? A telephone number? – No Name, Livermore Falls.

Answer:
From a story that ran April 27, 2006, a 1792 half-dime sold at a Central States Numismatic Society convention to a private collector for $1.33 million.

It was believed to be one of the first minted by the United States. It depicted the figure of Liberty, a woman with flowing hair, on one side, and an eagle on the reverse.

There were four types of half-dimes struck. The “Flowing Hair” type was struck from 1794-1795; “Draped Bust” type from 1796-1805; “Capped Bust” type from 1829-1837; and the “Seated Liberty” type from 1837-1873.

For information on selling the coin, we suggest contacting Compass Coins & Jewelry, 199 Lisbon St., Lewiston. They are open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or by appointment, 784-2885.

Dear Sun Spots: Thank you for all your help to everyone! It’s the best part of the paper!

Hopefully you can help me, plus so many others with this problem: finding a local department store where you can find a decent fitting bra in the larger sizes.

We need a little padding for support, and none of the larger sizes have that. Hanes Brand has exactly what I’m looking for, but they only go to size 38C. I need 44C.

Do you have an address for them? I do not have a computer. Thanks. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Sun Spots wonders if you have had any luck at TJ Maxx, JC Penney or Kohl’s department stores? They all have great selections and JC Penney offers fittings from time to time.

You can request a free catalog from Hanes to see what they offer. To contact the Hanes customer service department call 1-800-832-0594, Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to midnight, and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Write to them at Hanes.com, P.O. Box 6088, Bethania, NC 27010. Good luck!

Dear Sun Spots: Please inform Eleanor Collins, whose request appeared in today’s paper (Sun Spots, July 18), that I found a Jessie Bennett in St. John’s, Newfoundland. His phone number is 709-279-2729. Perhaps it would be worth a call to find out if he is her Uncle Jessie. – David Lucas, Arundel.
