Dear Sun Spots: Some time ago you had an article in the paper where this person sold a Half Dime. It was a rare coin.

I think the year was United States of America 1844 year about that time. Can you remember where it was sold, where purchased? Did it have an address – a place where someone could be contacted as to where they can be bought or sold? Do you know how many years and the years they were struck? A telephone number? – No Name, Livermore Falls.

Answer: From a story that ran April 27, 2006, a 1792 half-dime sold at a Central States Numismatic Society convention to a private collector for $1.33 million.

It was believed to be one of the first minted by the United States. It depicted the figure of Liberty, a woman with flowing hair, on one side, and an eagle on the reverse.

There were four types of half-dimes struck. The “Flowing Hair” type was struck from 1794-1795; “Draped Bust” type from 1796-1805; “Capped Bust” type from 1829-1837; and the “Seated Liberty” type from 1837-1873.

Hopefully you can help me, plus so many others with this problem: finding a local department store where you can find a decent fitting bra in the larger sizes.

We need a little padding for support, and none of the larger sizes have that. Hanes Brand has exactly what I’m looking for, but they only go to size 38C. I need 44C.

Answer: Sun Spots wonders if you have had any luck at TJ Maxx, JC Penney or Kohl’s department stores? They all have great selections and JC Penney offers fittings from time to time.
