SABATTUS – Nomination papers for the Nov. 4 election will be available on Monday, Aug. 11. There are two positions for selectmen, three for the school board, two for Sabattus Sanitary and Water District trustee and two for the Budget Committee.

Papers may be picked up at the town office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:15 a.m.to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The town will hold a special meeting to adopt a new school budget at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Sabattus Central School, Ball Park Road. That will be followed by a school budget validation referendum from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Town Hall.
