NEW VINEYARD – New Vineyard Public Library has announced August events as follows:
Tuesday, Aug. 12: The book, “Hey There, Stink Bug!,” by Leslie Bulion will be read by a special guest, State Rep. Tom Saviello.
Tuesday, Aug. 19: Special guests will be 15-year-old Ashley Tardif and 13-year-old Shaina Tardif, who will share their knowledge of beekeeping.
There will also be fun each week with crafts, games, snacks, hand-outs and prizes. The theme is “Catch the Reading Bug.”
On Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Bea Otte and her son, Matthew, 8, will bring a presentation on sign language. Matthew is hearing-impaired and came here from China. He loves the library, teaching and making new friends.
All of the activities are open to all ages, though it is asked that a caregiver attend with those under age 5.
