The Maine Citizenship Award was presented to Kyli LaBrecque, center, an eighth-grader at Oxford Hills Middle School, Paris, by Rep. Terry Hayes, right, and Sen. Dave Hastings at the closing ceremony for the school. LaBredque was nominated by her teachers for academic achievements, having attained A’s in all subjects for both years at the middle school. She was involved with her community, volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and also dancing with Northeast Academy of Dance. Daughter of Brandi Cushman of Waterford, she will enter high school this fall.
