JHS open house

JAY – The Jay Historical Society and Fire Museum will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Holmes-Crafts Homestead, Route 4, Jay Hill. There will be a bake and lawn sale and tours. Call Dot White at 897-4876 to donate items.

CARTHAGE – The Carthage Historical Society Museum open house, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 24, has been canceled.

Vining reunion

TEMPLE – The descendants of Benjamin and Sarah (Ring) Vining will hold the 23rd annual Vining reunion starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Temple Town Hall.

A potluck dinner will at held at noon and everyone is asked to bring something to share as well as genealogical information and photos. Musical performances, readings and stories would be welcome also.
