William Dore Murray of Auburn received his bachelor of science degree magna cum laude from the University of Southern Maine on May 10. He was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Murray also received an associate of science in education from Central Maine Community College in 2007.

In addition, he has been enrolled in the CLASS PDS teacher education program at USM-LA College and is scheduled to complete the final phase, a 13-week resident internship at Sherwood Heights Elementary School, Auburn, during the fall semester. He will then receive state certification to teach grades kindergarten through eight. Murray lives in Auburn with his two daughters.
