HARPSWELL – Mary Ann O’Connell, 72, of 15 Rock Spring Road, died Friday, Aug. 15, at her home.

She was born in Baltimore, Md., March 27, 1937, a daughter of William F. and Mary Dengler Bauer.

She graduated from “Maryvale” Preparatory School and Maryvale College in Brooklandville, Md.

She married Daniel H. O’Connell in Fallston, Md., April 4, 1970. He died July 13, 2005.

She was employed as a lab technologist at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

Mr. and Mrs. O’Connell enjoyed traveling. They had summered here for many years and moved here after retiring in 1987.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; her dog, Terry; and cats, Penny and Patty.
