Adam Cote’s column Aug. 10 was right about the nation’s debt to veterans and their medical care. I am happy to know that he is working toward that end.

Cote’s support of Barack Obama because he feels Obama supports the veterans is ill-advised, however.

Obama is “all hat and no horse,” as the Texans say. He has made more promises – especially to his special interest groups – than he can ever deliver. His flip-flops lead me to believe that the change he keeps speechifying about is his many changes of mind.

Obama is a great speech reader, but he is no leader.
