WILTON – A request to convert rental cabins on Wilson Lake to private condos will be reviewed again by the Planning Board on Thursday when members walk the Bass Point-Shea Street area.
The board and any interested residents will meet there at 6 p.m. prior to the board’s regular 7 p.m. meeting at the town office.
NAS Properties owner Norm St. Pierre brought his plans before the board earlier this month prior to a review of the application, said Code Enforcement Office Paul Montague on Tuesday.
Five cabins owned by NAS Properties have been repaired and renovated over the past year, Montague said, including plumbing, wiring and new septic systems.
The cabins have been leased but St. Pierre wants to convert them to condominiums, which would constitute a subdivision requiring board review, he said.
The cabins would share land around them, but Shea Street, a small road off Weld Road that runs into the property, raised some concern from the few abutters near the road, Montague said.
The property had been run down and little used but with the improvements use could increase traffic seasonally, he said. The cabins are proposed for seasonal use since their water supply is shut off during winter, he added.
After the board conducts a site review, a public hearing will be held on the plan then a second hearing on the final application will be needed, Montague said.
In other business during their regular meeting, the board will review an application by Mischelle R. Curtis for a day care business at 539 Temple Road and an application from Eric Rutberg to move his counseling office across the street to 346 Main St., he added.
