Auburn police get an “F” for traffic control during the Great Falls Balloon Festival.
At one time, I and about 15 other drivers were headed for Hannaford from Union Street. An officer was starting to block Court Street at that intersection. He never once gave a direction to drivers, causing traffic to become erratic and unpredictable. It was a miracle no accidents occurred.
It was like he had tunnel vision and pretending he didn’t notice the chaos he was causing.
This performance was not an isolated incident.
