MEXICO – Recent incidents covered by Mexico police include:
Accident
Vehicles driven by Lucille C. Bohren, 85, of Third Street, Dixfield, and Floyd Macomber, 77, of Hardware Lane, Dixfield, collided at 2:41 p.m. Aug. 19 on River Road at the Oxford Federal Credit Union. A passenger with Macomber, Mark Macomber, 70, of Hardware Lane, Dixfield, was taken to Rumford Hospital by ambulance. He was treated and released. Bohren’s 1999 Chrysler sedan sustained $6,000 damage. Floyd Macomber’s 2007 Mercury sedan also sustained $6,000 damage.
Vandalism
A resident of Oak Street reported at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 16 that someone had ripped the wires out of his all-terrain vehicle that had been parked by his garage the night before. About $150 damage was done.
A Parker Street resident reported at 8:29 a.m. Aug. 13 that someone had broken the rear window wiper on his 2000 Ford Explorer the night before causing about $75 damage.
Thefts
Gasoline was stolen from the Mexico Big Apple on River Road, when a minivan with North Carolina registration plates left the station at 11:03 a.m. Aug. 14 without paying $80.
A report of the theft of several lawn ornaments valued at $70 was made at 9:53 a.m. Aug. 16 from lawns on Katie Lane.
