WILTON – Two vehicles were damaged in a crash at the corner of Main and Ranger streets Monday afternoon.
Officer Rick Billian, who investigated, said Nicole Mills, 29, of Wilton, was attempting to turn into her driveway off Main Street but didn’t see a van driven by Eileen Caffery, 50, of Wilton, approaching. Mills’ 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was struck on the passenger side, he said. Caffery was driving a 2000 Toyota van.
Mills was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by ambulance with minor injuries, Billian said, Caffery, who reported pain, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, he added.
Damage to the van was estimated at $5,000 with about $2,000 in damage to the Grand Am.
Members of Wilton Fire Department responded to help with traffic control and clearing the road.
