BIDDEFORD (AP) – Police have charged a Saco man with elevated aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing another man by the drive-through lane of a Dunkin’ Donuts.

According to Biddeford Deputy Chief JoAnne Fisk, police received a call shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday that two men were rolling on the ground outside the store.

When police arrived, they found 28-year-old Angel Gonzalez of Biddeford bleeding from a stab wound. He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with what appeared to be serious injuries.

Fisk said police arrested 25-year-old Daniel Thatcher a few minutes later on a nearby street.

The Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through had to be closed for about an hour.
