PORTLAND (AP) – U.S. Rep. Tom Allen is one of four Democratic Senate recruits tapped for a speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Allen is to share the podium with Rep. Tom Udall of New Mexico, former New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen and Oregon House Speaker Jeff Merkley.
The four will speak on Aug. 27 at about 6:30 p.m. The evening’s theme is “Securing America’s Future.”
Allen is running for the Senate against Sen. Susan Collins, the Republican incumbent.
