FARMINGTON – John and Karen Lipofsky of Sabattus and Peter and Rebecca Irving of Machias are announcing the engagement of their children, Jessica Lipofsky and John Irving of Farmington.

Miss Lipofsky is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington where she received a degree in early childhood education.

Mr. Irving is also a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in political science. He is currently employed with the UMF Police Department.

An Oct. 4 wedding is planned at the home of the future bride’s parents in Sabattus.
