FARMINGTON – Farmington Recreation Department will begin its 29th season of Instructional Soccer League with registrations Sept. 2-4 at the department’s office in the Community Building on Middle Street.

The office will be open until 6 p.m. to accommodate parents of children in grades one to six who want to take part in this primary youth program this fall.

Under the guidance of Joel Smith, head coach for Mt. Blue High School boys varsity soccer team, participants will learn fundamentals, refine playing skills, improve fitness levels and learn the rules and basic concepts of the sport. But, having fun is the primary goal.

Participants will be separated: Division I is for grades one, two and three, Division II is for grades four, five and six.

League action will take place at Hippach Field.

Drills for all players begin Sunday, Sept. 7, with the regular season ending Oct. 12.

Registration cost is $20 with an additional $5 charged to participants who do not pay taxes to Farmington. For more information, call 778-3464 or 778-3444.
