Dear Sun Spots: On TV tonight on “207” a gentleman gave a number to call for a discount card from the government but he gave it so fast we couldn’t get it.

Not everyone has a computer either. This is for the TV box.

Also, a friend would like the name of the people who repair clocks. It would be nice if it could be done in the home as these are seniors that no longer drive. Thanks for all your good work. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
You can apply for 2 coupons per household by calling 1-888-388-2009. Your coupons will be valid 90 days from the day they are mailed. Each coupon is good toward $40 off a single converter box. The last day to apply for coupons in March 31, 2009 or until supplies are depleted.

At midnight on Feb. 17, 2009, full power television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to digital. This will provide a clearer picture, more channels and will free up airwaves for use by emergency responders.

Congress created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program for households wishing to keep using their analog TV sets.
