Having been to Alaska several times, I consider it to be a gem in our world, but far from a stepping stone to the presidency. Alaska is our largest state, but not too populated: it is mostly mountains, wilderness and water, but has few maintained roads, lacks railroads and airplanes outnumber cars.

Alaskans are hearty folk, independent and self-sufficient. But how can its governor, in office less than two years and a mother of several with an ill infant, do both jobs well?

We have a lady that has devoted many years serving us as an educator, school boards, senator (during which she chaired the Appropriations Committee) and is forced aside due to term limits, and what does she do? Retire?

No. She’s running for the House.

Peggy Rotundo has more knowledge and experience than the lady from Alaska. Is she qualified for high national office? Maybe not now, but if she threw her hat into the ring, she’d get my vote.
