PORTLAND – Announcement is made of the engagement of Amy J. Kaczowka and Keith R. Magnuson, both of Portland.

The future bride is the daughter of Theodore Kaczowka of Portland and the late Mary Kaczowka. She is a graduate of Deering High School and earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She is a former Lewiston High School science teacher and is currently teaching at Falmouth High School in Falmouth.

The future bridegroom is the son of John and Barbara Magnuson of Westford, Mass. He is a graduate of Westford Academy in Westford, Mass., and received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He is a history teacher at Scarborough High School.

An October wedding is planned in Cape Elizabeth.
