RUMFORD – “The Emotional and Spiritual Impact of Cancer” will be the fifth in a series of six presentations for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers presented at Rumford Hospital through the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center.
The session will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.
The workshop will be offered by the Rev. Ginger Rickeman, Bethel Congregational Church. Emily Ecker, a licensed clinical social worker, will also contribute. She is the outreach oncology social worker with the Dempsey Center.
Ecker provides services to patients and their families at Rumford Hospital one day each week through the Dempsey Center.
