LISBON – Town Councilor E. Charles Smith and School Committee member Prudence Grant are being challenged in the Nov. 4 municipal elections.
Smith, who is seeking another three-year term, is being challenged by Roger Cote.
Grant is also seeking another three-year term and is being challenged by former School Committee member Herbert “Pete” Reed.
Water Commissioner James Gurney is running unopposed for another three-year term.
For the Budget Advisory Board there are no candidates for one three-year at-large opening; and one opening each in District I and District II, both for two years. All those positions will be filled by write-in votes.
Last year, Reed and Norris Ingersoll were elected to that panel by write-in votes, but both declined to accept the positions and they were filled by appointment until this year’s election.
