Mountain Valley at Mt. Abram, 7 p.m.


The Falcons were a preseason favorite to make some noise in the MVC. Mountain Valley was ranked seventh last week in Western B and hope to challenge the top-ranked team in Western C under the lights.

Telstar at Livermore Falls 4 p.m.

Two of the top four teams in the Western C standings. The Rebels were ranked fourth last week while the Andies were second.

Girls’ soccer

Tuesday, September 30

Belfast at Oak Hill, 3:30 p.m.

The Raiders have put themselves in the middle of the Western B playoff hunt. They host Belfast, a team ranked eighth last week in Eastern B. Oak Hill was seeded sixth last week and look to bolster their playoff positioning.

Wednesday, October 1

Lisbon at Georges Valley, 3:30 p.m.


Two of the top MVC squads meet head-to-head. Lisbon was ranked second in Western B last week while the Bucs were ranked third in Western C.

Saturday, October 4

Waterville at Mt. Blue 11 a.m.


The Cougars host the top-ranked team in Eastern A. The Panthers beat the Cougars handily the first time, but Mt. Blue looks to avenge that performance. The Cougar boys play at Waterville the same day at 10 a.m.

Cross country

Lewiston, Edward Little at Oxford Hills

Tuesday, Sept. 30, 4 p.m.


Blue Devils have run over everyone to start the season. This shouldn’t be much different, though it’s always a fun race when EL and Lewiston get together.

Belfast Festival of Champions

Saturday, Oct. 4, 11:30 a.m.


The best of the best, regardless of class, make this an intriguing event.
