GRAY – Dana and Peggy Stewart of Gray are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Stewart of Gray, to Alec Drown of Gray, son of David Drown and Kim Knudson of Stannard, Vt.

Miss Stewart is a 2003 graduate of Hebron Academy and a 2007 graduate of the University of Vermont, majoring in animal science. She is employed as equine manager at Riding to the Top, a therapeutic riding center in Windham.

Mr. Drown is a 2002 graduate of Hazen High School in Vermont and a 2006 graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in political science. He is currently employed at Dean and Allyn Inc. Fire Protection Systems.

An August 2010 wedding is planned on the coast of Maine.
