PORTLAND (AP) – A 21-year-old Portland man apparently chose the wrong vehicle to pull over when he allegedly put a blue police light on his pickup truck and impersonated a police officer.

Andrew Chaisson was charged with criminal threatening with a firearm and impersonating a public servant after he allegedly pulled over a vehicle driven by a federal customs agent Monday night.

According to police, Chaisson stopped the agent’s vehicle on outer Forest Avenue and then backed his pickup truck into a nearby driveway while squealing his tires. Becoming suspicious, the agent approached the pickup truck but backed away when the driver pulled out a shotgun.

Chaisson was arrested at his home a short time later.
