NORTH TURNER – Earl and Doris Fuller of North Turner celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30. A surprise reception, hosted by their children, Lynne and Russell Barlow and Stephen and Andrew Fuller, was held at the Fore Seasons Restaurant at the Turner Highlands Country Club.
Russell Barlow, son-in-law of the couple, was the toastmaster, and tributes were given to the couple by their daughter and two sons. A video documenting the life of the couple and their family was produced and shown by their daughter, Lynne Barlow.
Following the video, Mr. Fuller presented his wife with a diamond eternity ring signifying the past, present and future.
Mr. Fuller and the former Doris Thibodeau were married at St. Theresa Church in Mexico. They resided in South Rumford, Rumford and West Peru, before moving to North Turner in 2006.
Mr. Fuller is retired from United Timber Corporation and Irving Forest Products. Mrs. Fuller is retired from International Paper.
Attending were family and friends from California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan and many locations in Maine.
