RAYMOND – Route 302 closed to traffic for 90 minutes Saturday afternoon while police cleaned up debris from a car accident that sent one woman to the hospital.
Sgt. David Hall of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said a Ford SUV had stopped to turn onto Hawthorne Street when a GMC pickup hit it from behind. The pickup driver, Shawn Libby, 46, of Casco, was taken to Maine Medical Center by LifeFlight helicopter. Her injuries weren’t life-threatening, Hall said.
He blamed the accident on driver inattention. People in the SUV were treated at the scene.
