DURHAM, N.H. (AP) – The University of New Hampshire has issued an interim suspension of the Phi Mu Delta fraternity after two students were hospitalized with alcohol poisoning.

Police said the students went to the hospital late Friday night. Both had just been offered bids to join the fraternity which has 10 days to appeal the university’s decision.

Police arrested seven students on alcohol possession charges.

The suspensions means the fraternities are no longer recognized as student organizations.
