FARMINGTON – Two 17-year-old boys are charged in connection with camp burglaries and vandalism last June on Porter Lake in Strong and New Vineyard.

Damage caused in the spree exceeded $100,000, police say.

Franklin County Cpl. Stephen Charles issued a court summons to a 17-year-old New Sharon boy on a misdemeanor charge of theft by receiving stolen property, Lt. Niles Yeaton said.

Charles also issued a summons to a 17-year-old Farmington boy on a felony charge of burglary, Yeaton and. The boys and their parents were served Oct. 5, he said.

The boys are scheduled to appear Tuesday, Nov. 19, in juvenile court in Farmington. A third Franklin County juvenile is expected to be charged soon, he said.

Other defendants in the case are Shane Sturgeon, 21, of Livermore and Zachary Heath, 19, of West Farmington, each facing 27 counts of burglary; Dylan Couturier, 18, of Livermore Falls, facing 11 counts of burglary; and Timothy Lagasse, 18, of Farmington, facing 16 counts of burglary.

The adult cases are scheduled to go before a Franklin County grand jury in November.
