FARMINGTON – The wedding of Stephanie Marie Hood and Justin Samuel Howard was held at 1 p.m., July 12, at Farmington Baptist Church. Pastor Earl Edgerly officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Howard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hood of Strong. Mr. Howard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Howard of Stratton.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown of matte satin embellished with crystals and beads. She carried a bouquet of white roses and yellow Calla lilies.

Melonie Ross, best friend, served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Raechell Luce, Jessica Madore, Carrie-Ann Young and Cady Steeves, friends. Mikala and Kelsey Ryan, cousins of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Marc Bradley performed the duties of best man for his best friend. Ushers were Miley Manseed, Chris Barber, Dave Lydet and Ryan Rosa, friends. Landon Ryan, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the UMF South Dining Hall in Farmington, after which the couple traveled to Cape Cod, Mass. They are residing at Fort Drum, N.Y. for the next four years.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and is currently enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Maine at Orono and plans to graduate in the fall.

The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and a 2008 graduate of Norwich University in Vermont. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army.
