LEWISTON – Trinity Jubilee Center has announced a Diaper Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Lewiston Hannaford Store on Sabattus Street.
The Jubilee Center, a nonprofit organization, is a multi-service agency dedicated to advocacy for those in need in the Lewiston area. In the past year the center has served more than 30,000 plates of food and has assisted more than 3,000 local families with basic needs and referrals.
As part of its Emergency Food Pantry the center has also distributed more than 35,000 diapers in the last year. With the need for diapers ever-growing, the Jubilee Center is asking for help.
Three other diaper drives for the Jubilee Center, hosted by the morning crew of Country Radio Station 99.9 the Wolf, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hannaford in Windham on Monday, Oct. 20, Hannaford in Westbrook on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and the Forest Avenue Hannaford, Portland, on Thursday, Oct. 23.
All diaper sizes are needed, with an emphasis on sizes 4, 5 and 6. Donations for diapers may also be made to the Trinity Jubilee Center Diaper Drive, 247 Bates St., Lewiston, ME 04240. For more information, contact Event Planner Dell Caron Gray at 782-5700 or at [email protected].
