AUBURN – S&D Sheet Metal Sharks ripped Gendron & Gendron, 20-2, to win the best-of-three Twin Cities softball championship in its division. Sharks spotted the Lewiston American League champion a one-game lead before storming back with decisive wins on back-to-back nights.

The Sharks scored six runs in the first inning of Game 2 and prevailed 12-4. Scott Wetherell and Dave Veinott clubbed home runs. Rodney Mercier, Jeremy York and Veinott all homered in the finale. Jim Wetherell was the winning pitcher in both contests.

Danny’s Landscaping of Lewiston won bragging rights in the other division with a 13-12 victory over Hartt Transportation.
