LISBON – Combined damage was estimated at $5,000 in a three-car pileup on Route 196 at the Bowdoin Street intersection early Friday afternoon.
Officer Jeff Williams identified the drivers as Summer Parsons, 30, of Lisbon, Joy Begin, 54, of Sabattus and Dwight Knox, 39, of Jay.
Parsons complained of dizziness and was treated at the scene by personnel from Lisbon Emergency, and the other drivers escaped apparent injury, Williams said.
According to Williams, Parsons and Begin had stopped for a pedestrian in the crosswalk, and Knox, unable to stop in time to avoid a collision, struck the rear of Begin’s car pushing it into Parsons’ car.
Damage was estimated at $1,000 to Parsons’ 2003 Suzuki XL7 and $4,000 to Begin’s 2000 Toyota Camry. There was no damage to Knox’s 1997 Ford Escort in the 1:36 p.m. crash.
