During this time of crisis, Barack Obama has offered steady leadership and a recognition that this crisis hit most Americans a long time ago. Obama understands that for the American economy to thrive, the middle class must be the center of economic prosperity. He will put working families first by giving tax cuts to 95 percent of them, and only those companies that remain in America.

President Bush and John McCain offer the wrong economic philosophy. Providing multi-million-dollar tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans, they said that wealth would trickle down to the rest of us. They was wrong.

Obama understands that this recent economic crisis is the final verdict on these failed policies.

McCain only offers more of the same failed policies that created this mess. Can Maine afford four more years of the same?
