In his column, “Assigning blame for the bailout” (Oct. 12), J. Dwight stated that connections are relevant – then proceeded to set out the connections of Sen. Barack Obama to Fannie Mae.

He neglected to point out the connection of Sen. McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, to both Freddie and Fannie. Davis received $30,000 to head up an advocacy group, “The Homeownership Alliance,” to defend both Freddie and Fannie and protect them from more government regulations.

If Dwight is going to point the finger regarding relationships, he should be fair and get all the players who are involved.
