A Honda car driven by Claude Cushman, 80, of Farmington collided head-on Tuesday morning on Route 4 with a Ford Explorer driven by Sheila McMillan, 50, of Farmington. Cushman was turning from Route 4 onto Farmington Falls Road and McMillan was headed toward downtown Farmington on Route 4 when the collision occurred, police said. Both Cushman, who complained of chest pain from the seat belt, and McMillan, who complained of ankle pain, were treated at the scene by an ambulance crew but declined transport to the hospital, police said. Both vehicles were totaled. McMillan went to the hospital in a personal vehicle afterward, a co-worker at the Franklin Journal said.
