BANGOR (AP) – A 35-year-old Maine man who’s awaiting sentencing for the fatal shooting of his wife is due back in court Wednesday on an alleged bail violation.

Jeremy Hart of Lagrange has been free on $100,000 cash bail after pleading guilty last week to a charge of manslaughter in last year’s killing of 25-year-old Kristen Smart Hart. He was arrested Monday for alleged drug use, a charge his lawyer denies.

Hart, who had been charged with murdering his wife, is expected to be sentenced next month on the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, the prosecution is expected to recommend that Hart serve 15 years in prison. The defense is likely to seek a lesser sentence.
