MORO PLANTATION (AP) – Maine State Police say a 70-year-old northern Maine man was killed when he was run over by his own bulldozer.
Sgt. Tom Pelletier said Caroll Gerow of Moro Plantation was working on his John Deere bulldozer Friday afternoon when it accidentally went into gear, knocking him to the ground. The machine ran over Gerow, then crashed into a pickup truck and before coming to rest against a tree.
The accident happened at Bear Mountain Lodge, which Gerow owned.
Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
