Wow! What a way to save our Lisbon community and our school some money. Students of Mrs. Marilyn Curtis, Mrs. April Lemmings, Mrs. Jen Robitaille and Mrs. Maddy Cornish at Phillip W. Sugg in Lisbon are ripping paper to save our school money. The teachers were able to purchase 40 reams of computer paper from Marden’s in Lewiston. The price was $6 for four cases (40,000 sheets) of paper, saving $128.00.

Students are doing this work during their first period of the day on Fridays. “It feels like honest work,” says, Jack Caron, one of the students involved in the project. “I felt good to know we’re not wasting paper,” says, Taylor Milson. Monica Austin says, “It feels good to know we are saving paper, and it’s fun to do.” Ashley Marconi agrees by sharing “Awesome feeling.” Many other students spoke about their feelings on the project and were very excited about doing the community service. Not only is this project money saving but what a great way to recycle.
