Saturday will be the last chance for Lewiston residents to vote early before Tuesday’s presidential election.
Lewiston and Auburn have scheduled special hours for the clerks’ offices from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
People in both cities will be able to register to vote and take out absentee ballots through Monday. Both cities will provide private booths for voters to fill out the ballots on Saturday.
Lewiston will take its booths down Monday to prepare for the heavy voter turnout expected at the polls on Tuesday, Deputy City Clerk Kelly Mercier said.
In Lewiston, the clerk’s office is on the second floor of City Hall. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office phone number is 513-3124.
In Auburn, the clerk’s office is on the main floor of Auburn Hall and may be reached by phone at 333-6600. Regular hours in Auburn are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays; and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
