LISBON – The town of Lisbon has received a $2,000 Safety Enhancement Grant from the Maine Municipal Association.

The grants are used to purchase safety equipment and services that assist in reducing the frequency and severity of workplace injuries, according to the MMA.

The program received 106 applications for this grant period and almost $100,000 was awarded. The MMA program has given out $1.7 million in grants and scholarships over the 10 years of the program.
