An Auburn man was taken to a hospital after a single-vehicle accident Monday morning on River Road.
Stephen Cote, 49, of 139 Pleasant St., was ejected from his car in the accident.
Lewiston police Lt. James Minkowski said the accident occurred about 11:17 a.m. at 484 River Road, just past the Lewiston dump. Cote was traveling down a hill when he lost control of his car and failed to negotiate a turn, the lieutenant said.
The crash remains under investigation, Minkowski said, adding that police called in a crash reconstruction expert to assist the investigation due to the serious nature of Cote’s injuries.
Spokeswomen at Lewiston’s two hospitals had no information about Cote.
