Farm changes
FARMINGTON – Residents will learn what has changed in the 2008 Farm Bill at a free workshop at the University of Maine at Farmington’s North Dining Hall at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The workshop, sponsored by the Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District, will give farmers and others interested in the 2008 Farm Bill an opportunity to get their questions answered. State USDA NRCS representatives will present the information.

Free clothing
LIVERMORE FALLS – Mizpah Circle, International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons, will hold a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 8, at its room in the basement of the Treat Memorial Library on Main Street. Included will be new coats and other outfits for young girls.
Mizpah Circle will accept donations of clean used clothing Friday, Nov. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. at its room beneath the library. It is one of the ways that Mizpah Circle helps needy residents of Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls.
