WILTON – Wilton voters backed incumbent state Rep. Thomas Saviello, I-Wilton, 1,734-566 over challenger Maxine Collins, a Democrat whose also of Wilton.

Voting results from other District 90 towns were not available late Tuesday evening.

Collins, 75, a maintenance supervisor for Wilton Blueberry Farm, wants to improve education and employment opportunities for working people. Her desire to improve these prompted her to run for the position.

If elected, her priority would be to work on affordable health care and an expansion of Dirigo. She would also like to make MaineCare more available to individuals and families.

Making Maine a more business-friendly state while at the same time protecting the state’s most vulnerable citizens are primary goals for Saviello, who works as a manager at an area mill.

Saviello also feels the state needs to make health insurance more affordable and revisit DirigoHealth to make it more affordable.
