Dear Sun Spots: Just about this time last year a lady was looking for someone to make memory bears. I responded to that request and would like to add my name to your data bank. I handcraft “Remember Me” bears, using fabric from clothing from a loved one, either living or passed on. I have crafted bears from pajamas to wedding gowns. These make wonderful gifts for the holidays and provide the giver and receiver with fond memories of that special person. Anyone interested may call me at 998-2547 after 6 p.m. or anytime on weekends. – Rose Dubay, Poland.

Dear Sun Spots: You have helped me and lots of others before and I really hope you can again. I have two questions. I bought a Panasonic Lumix camera and have misplaced all instructions. I would really like to have some. I don’t have a computer so it would have to be by letter or phone. Also, I have made quite a few hats, mittens and scarves and would like to donate them in the Paris, Norway area for Christmas. I have seen some ladies names appear in Sun Spots but misplaced those. Keep up the good work Sun Spots. – Barbara Yeaton, West Paris.

Answer: To order an operating instruction manual for your camera contact Panasonic at 1-800-211-7262, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST. There is a fee to send you the manual, which will be determined when you supply them with the model number.

Also, in addition to responses from readers, contact Charlotte Parker, P.O. Box 363, South Paris, ME 04281; she knits scarves for Paris school children. We have received yarn requests from the West Paris Keep ‘Em Warm group who make items for Christmas for Kids, homeless teens, and any others needing warm wearables for the winter. Call Sylvia McCann, 674-2114. Also, consider contacting Gerri Price at Christmas for Kids, 744-9157 and Jean Delameter at Christmas for Teens, 539-4587. Both programs are located in Oxford Hills and applications are available at Community Concepts in South Paris, and donations are also accepted at Rightstart, P.O. Box 726, Norway, ME 04268.
