FARMINGTON – A free public breakfast forum will focus on energy when the Western Maine Legislative Caucus hosts a panel discussion on “Looking Towards Our Energy Future.”
Area legislators and John Kerry, director of Maine’s Office of Energy Independence and Security, will participate in the discussion on the state’s energy policy from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 21 in the Olsen Student Center at the University of Maine at Farmington.
The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities in the region. The forum will also include exhibits from several organizations working on energy issues in the region.
The Western Maine Legislative Caucus is an annual series of public forums on topics of interest to Western Maine.
The forum includes breakfast and is sponsored by the Western Mountains Alliance, University of Maine at Farmington, Western Maine Community Action, SAD 9, Mission at the Eastward, Franklin Community Health Network and Greater Franklin Development Corp.
