BANGOR (AP) – Bangor’s firefighters are posing for the camera and making a calendar for charitable purposes.

The 2009 calendar features firefighters with their helmets, axes and other gear. In several of the photos, firefighters have removed their shirts to reveal their bulging muscles.

The calendars sell for $12 each, with proceeds going to support the Hose 5 Fire Museum in Bangor.

This is the fifth calendar Bangor firefighters have made to raise money for the museum. The first four raised close to $100,000, most of which went into repairing the building’s roof and doing renovations in the basement.
